Smart Track Station
Project Overview
A next-generation urban transit hub designed for seamless multi-modal connectivity. ATF World delivered end-to-end coordination across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines for this 185,000 sq ft underground and above-grade station complex. The project required tight integration with existing rail infrastructure, demanding millimeter-level accuracy for steel connections, platform alignments, and utility routing beneath active transit corridors.

Project Story
From challenge to resolution — how we delivered results.
Challenge
The station design required coordinating six disciplines — architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection — within a constrained underground envelope directly beneath an operational rail line. Legacy survey data was outdated, and the existing utilities map was incomplete, creating significant risk for clashes during excavation and installation.
Solution
ATF World deployed a federated coordination model, integrating point-cloud scan data to reconcile existing conditions with the new design. Our team ran bi-weekly coordination cycles, resolving over 2,400 issues before construction. We established a common data environment (CDE) that enabled real-time collaboration between the owner, design engineers, and three subcontractor teams across two time zones.
Result
The project achieved a 32% reduction in coordination-related RFIs compared to the client’s previous station project. Construction sequencing was completed on schedule with zero critical-path delays attributable to design conflicts. The client reported an estimated $1.8M in avoided rework costs.
